What to check before you hire
Experience on your platforms
Ask which marketplaces the agency runs accounts on today. Commercraft manages more than 17 brands on 17 platforms across Europe, including Amazon, Zalando, Kaufland, home24, Decathlon, OBI, Allegro and Empik.
Markets and languages
Ask which countries the agency works in. Commercraft runs accounts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordics, and works in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Polish and Ukrainian.
Contract
Ask how the cooperation model fits your business. Contracts with Commercraft are flexible and client-friendly: several cooperation and billing models, and in each of them we make sure you earn.
Your data
Your data is yours. Commercraft does not take over your data or your access, and you always see what we do on your accounts.
Evidence
Ask for cases from the agency’s own clients. Three of Commercraft’s are written up in English: a homeware brand on home24 in the Benelux, a lighting brand expanding abroad and a streetwear brand on Zalando. The rest are in the case studies, within the limits of each client’s confidentiality.
Many markets in one process
Allegro is Poland’s dominant marketplace and plays the role that Amazon plays in most of Western Europe. If you want to sell in Poland, you will hardly get around it. Commercraft runs Allegro accounts for brands in fashion, sport, cosmetics and catering equipment. The other Polish platforms, with fees and entry rules, are in marketplaces in Poland.
Kaufland connects markets. With one registration you sell on several European Kaufland marketplaces, including Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Amazon and Zalando work the same way across their European sites. Commercraft runs all of them in one shared process: one catalogue, one set of rules, one team that knows every market it sells on.
What Commercraft takes on
- Account management on Amazon, Zalando, Kaufland, home24, Decathlon and other European marketplaces, described under marketplace management.
- Entry into Poland on Allegro, Empik and Kaufland.pl, with translation, pricing and shipping.
- Entry into Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordics on the marketplaces that fit your range.
- Integration with your system, whether that is an ERP, a PIM or Base.com.
- Reporting on revenue and margin by channel and country.
Answers to the usual questions before a first call are on questions for a marketplace agency.
What happens in the first 90 days
From day one a dedicated account manager runs the project and is your contact. In month one your products go live on the agreed platforms, with descriptions and photos, mapped in the system you already use. With complete data it is quick: 500 EANs on Amazon in 40 hours, almost 350 products on Zalando Germany in one week. The paperwork for a new country takes longer than the listing: verification, packaging registration and, for electrical goods, WEEE registration.
In months two and three the team tidies the account data, fixes offers rejected at review and sets up the first campaigns. From then on your account manager goes through the numbers and next steps with you every week. They know your range and look after four clients at most.
Where to start
Commercraft runs marketplaces in Germany, Poland, the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordics, so the order follows your stock and your registrations. Start where your goods already are. A brand with stock in Germany adds Poland from the same warehouse once the German accounts run smoothly. A brand shipping from Poland starts on Allegro and moves west when the catalogue and the registrations are ready.
Questions from brands entering European marketplaces
No. You sell from your existing entity and Commercraft runs the account, the listings and customer service in Polish. Which VAT and EPR registrations apply depends on where you store the goods. We tell you which ones you need and guide you through them.
The price depends on the number of channels, countries and newly listed SKUs a month. The full price list, with what the fee covers, is on the marketplace management pricing page.
The partner applications are in progress. Day to day, Commercraft works directly with the account managers on the platform side, for example at Kaufland, home24, Modivo and About You.
Yes. Commercraft works in the system you already use, whether that is an ERP, a PIM or a multichannel tool. The team has deep experience with Base.com, the integrator most Polish sellers run their orders on, and with the Ergonode PIM. Details on the marketplace integrations page.
For the start you can agree a smaller scope or a trial period. If you stop, you keep the accounts, the data and everything we set up, and hand the routines to your own team.
