On 15 October 2026 Artur Rompca, co-founder of Commercraft, represented us at Mirakl Meetup Warsaw 2026 in Varso Tower, Warsaw. We were invited as one of two marketplace advisory firms.

Our everyday work is bringing sellers onto marketplaces and running their accounts. At the meetup we were therefore the voice of the sellers among companies that have already turned into marketplaces or are planning to. For operators this is a valuable perspective, because the sellers trading on a platform largely decide whether it grows.

We are proud and honoured to be part of it. Mirakl is one of the world’s leading marketplace technology providers, and its platform powers marketplaces such as Decathlon, Castorama, Leroy Merlin and OBI.

On 15 October I attended Mirakl Meetup Warsaw 2026, and it was one of the most interesting industry afternoons this autumn.

Let me start with the venue. The meetup took place in Varso Tower, the tallest building in the European Union, in one of the highest event spaces in Europe. I had never been to a conference in a place like this. Talking about marketplaces with a view over the whole of Warsaw from that height feels completely different. The evening ended with a sunset visit to the highest rooftop in the city and dinner above the lights of Warsaw.

The programme was concrete:

  • BCG on the Polish digital consumer: what matters to consumers today and the role digital plays in it
  • a fireside chat with Sinsay on how a marketplace turns a fashion brand into a shopping destination for the whole family
  • retail media and AI: how brands and sellers can stay visible when AI changes the way people shop
  • a panel with Decathlon, MediaMarkt and Castorama, “One Brand, a Thousand Sellers – One Year Later”: what has changed in their marketplaces over the past year and what they plan next

For us it was above all a chance to talk to the people who run the largest Mirakl marketplaces in Poland. At Commercraft we run seller accounts on Decathlon Marketplace and Castorama, among others, so the operators’ priorities and plans feed directly into our daily work for clients.

I was very glad to meet Michał Niedziółka there, a good friend who recently took charge of the Sinsay marketplace launch. The marketplace went live in early September on the Mirakl platform, and the core integration was completed in under six months. Michał, fingers crossed for the next stages!

The line-up on Mirakl’s side was a strong signal too. Besides the Polish team, the regional leadership was there: Georg Sobczak, Regional VP for DACH, Eastern Europe and the Netherlands, who came from Munich, and Laure Le Gall, Chief Revenue Officer EMEA, from Paris. It shows how seriously Mirakl takes the growth of the Polish market.

Thank you to the Mirakl team for the invitation and the excellent organisation, and to the sponsors, Univio, Mollie and Spyrosoft, for supporting the event.
