Decathlon Marketplace: how to enter Europe's largest sports platformDecathlon Marketplace: how to join Europe’s largest sports platform and what the Mirakl model requires.
Author: Borys Terlecki · marketplace sales and implementations at Commercraft · updated: September 2026
In brief
Decathlon Marketplace has run on Mirakl since December 2020, the Seller Conditions V9 list 13 European markets, and you apply through a form before Decathlon picks its partners on range, brand and service quality.
Commission runs from 10% to 18% by category, plus a single €70 monthly subscription that covers every market. Decathlon publishes both figures in the Seller Conditions V9.
Hard metrics decide your place: dispatch within two working days, and products below 3.5 out of 5 stars with at least 18 reviews are removed from the range automatically.
Decathlon is best known for its chain of sports stores, but for several years it has also been a growing marketplace, one of Europe’s largest channels and devoted entirely to sport and healthy living. For manufacturers and retailers of sports equipment, clothing or accessories, it is a chance to reach a very specific, committed audience. Here is how the channel works and how you get started on it.
The marketplace launched in Belgium in December 2020 and quickly became a strategic pillar for Decathlon. Decathlon itself cites 14 countries in Europe and 6 in Asia. The Marketplace Seller Conditions V9 of September 2025 name 13 markets: Poland, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland, Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The figures are substantial: marketplace revenue reached half a billion euros in 2025, after 58% growth in 2024, with 35 million monthly visitors to Decathlon’s sites in Europe. The platform runs a 3P model built on Mirakl, and you can integrate on your own, via API or through common integrators.
You apply through the partner form on Decathlon's seller pages. Decathlon selects its partners on range, brand and service quality, so the application alone does not get you in. In Poland the marketplace has run since 2021, and sellers there include adidas Poland, PUMA and Crocs Europe. For a brand from Western Europe, Poland is one of several possible markets to start with.

Decathlon cares about quality and a fit with its values. The official conditions are:
professional expertise in sport and healthy living,
guaranteed quality of delivery and after-sales service,
customer satisfaction as a priority,
alignment with Decathlon’s business and social values.
Formally, Decathlon requires a registered office in the EU, VAT registration in every country you sell in or participation in OSS, and proof of your brand rights, because many brands are sold through selective distribution. The conditions do not require your own warehouse in the EU. On top of that come the KYC check with the payment provider and screening against anti-corruption and sanctions lists. A dedicated account manager guides you through onboarding in stages: account creation, legal registration, product configuration, offer connection and go-live.
Decathlon publishes its rates in the Seller Conditions V9 of September 2025, and they are not negotiable. Commission ranges from 10% to 18% depending on category. Sport and clothing sit at 16%, bikes and fitness at 13%, electronics at 10% and services at 18%, with lower rates for used products. You also pay a single subscription of €70 a month including taxes, shared across all markets. You receive the binding terms for your market in the seller portal during onboarding. Payments are handled by Lemonway, which also runs your KYC check.
The profile is clear: sport and healthy living, more than 70 disciplines covering equipment, clothing, footwear, accessories, nutrition and sports electronics. Decathlon selects well-known brands that are in demand on the sports market, so the quality of your offer counts. One distinctive feature is Second Life: dedicated categories for refurbished, repaired and ex-display products, built into the sustainability strategy.
As a Mirakl-based platform, Decathlon matches offers to its catalogue by EAN and requires structured attributes for each category. The catalogue is strictly managed. A feed that passes on Amazon or OTTO usually will not fit here without rework, because mandatory attributes, size logic and material details are structured differently. Plan for a round of data work before go-live. Under the GPSR you provide proof of conformity on request, and for protective equipment the relevant EN standards as well. You receive the exact data specification during onboarding.
Decathlon measures its partners against hard values. Orders should be dispatched within two working days. If a product’s average rating falls below 3.5 out of 5 with at least 18 reviews, the platform removes it from the range automatically. If a partner stays below the agreed minimum revenue for six months in a row, it loses its place on the marketplace.
So before you launch, check whether your logistics can handle two working days and whether your range collects enough reviews. If you cut corners on returns and response times, you lose visibility first and then your slot.
One technical integration opens up to 13 European markets for you, from Germany and France to Poland and Romania. You do not need separate infrastructure in each country, because catalogue, offers and orders all run through the same Mirakl panel. Then there is the channel’s momentum: 58% growth in 2024 and half a billion euros in marketplace revenue in 2025. For a sports or outdoor brand, this is a natural export corridor with a closely matched audience.
We run seller accounts on Decathlon Marketplace, from the application to day-to-day operations. We prepare the documents for your application and guide you through the process, while Decathlon itself decides on admission. We build the catalogue and attributes to the Mirakl standard, connect the feed from your ERP, from Base.com, the multichannel system widely used in Poland, or from your integrator, and set up shipping and returns so the two-day deadline holds.
Once the data is clean, we list several dozen, sometimes several hundred offers a day, and we estimate the pace for your catalogue before launch. After that we manage the account on an ongoing basis: prices, reviews, delivery times and range upkeep, because the platform removes products automatically below the thresholds. Our team works in English and German, so machine translations go through a second, human round before they reach your product pages. Read more about the channel on the page Selling on Decathlon.
